Product Description
A 10hp water-cooled chiller can be used when the ambient temperature is too low. However, if the cooling water temperature is too low, the high and low pressure difference of the compressor will be too small, affecting the normal operation of the compressor. If the chiller uses a separate cooling tower, our automatic cooling water shortage temperature control function can be used. When the system detects that the cooling water temperature is too low, the cooling tower fan will automatically stop working, and the fan will automatically turn on again after the cooling water temperature rises to a certain level. This ensures that the cooling water temperature does not drop too low, allowing the chiller to operate normally.

Does the chiller have antifreeze protection?
Kansa industrial chillers utilize intelligent antifreeze technology. When the water temperature drops below a certain level, the chiller automatically activates antifreeze mode. This technology ensures that the chiller will not freeze in winter even without adding antifreeze. Please note that to ensure the antifreeze mode activates properly, do not disconnect the power to the chiller's controller.
What is the lowest temperature of chilled water that Kansa industrial chillers can produce?
They can produce chilled water as low as -60℃, primarily used in the chemical and new energy industries. We employ two-stage compression technology, refrigerant PID control technology, and compressor enthalpy enhancement technology, making even such low temperatures easily achievable. Please note that antifreeze with a freezing point of -75℃ must be used in this case.
What should I do if my chiller activates low-temperature protection?
To prevent the chiller from freezing, Kansa industrial chillers have a low-temperature protection function. This protection will activate when the water temperature drops below 3°C and no antifreeze has been added. In this case, drain the water from the tank through the drain pipe and add warmer water. The alarm will automatically clear when the water temperature in the tank rises above 3°C.
